I thought about getting an M1 solely because you can find pre-ban clips for sale.
From my understanding, you can buy old large capacity clips (produced before the ban) but you cannot buy large capacity clips that were made after the ban.
But I figured that I'd never shoot the thing anyway, so I never got it.

Camp Perry is nearby. They have a gun store and a rifle range. I have been looking into getting my nephews into gun safety course there. As I read on it gave no prices on the guns but did state that I was only allowed to buy 12 M1s in one calender year. WTF would I do with 12?
In marriage there is always one person right. And the other one is the husband.

It's not me, it's someone else.

Yes actually allot of matches and I believe the biggest. Gordo knows. I heard about this thing called the CMP. Civilian Marksmanship Program. They also have precession air rifles. It is catered to have children know gun safety and marksmanship. So I suppose when the Chinese start coming over the hill the draft will take our local farm kids who know shit to start repelling them first.thibodeaux wrote:Well, that's another use of the Garand, is the match at Camp Perry.
The only other place they list with a store and range is Anniston, Alabama (Hillbilly marksman to protect the southern US)

FAQ at CMP
When will M-14’s be available from the CMP?
Although one never knows what may happen in the future, we doubt that M-14’s will ever be available for purchase from the CMP.
Will .45s be available through the CMP?
No.

I dunno. But lots of people offer the large capacity clips, created before they were banned.
