1 vs 100 Xbox 360
I don't know if anyone else is playing this but it is pretty fun and you can win arcade games and MS points.
You can either be The One, The Mob, or The Crowd. The One and The Mob play against each other and the game goes until The One get a question wrong. At that point everyone in The Mob who got every question right gets the free acrade game that was chosen by MS for the night and gets MS points depending on how many people are left. The One gets more MS points the more people in The Mob pick wrong answers and at any point they can take the points and run and The Mob get nothing. The Crowd is all the people not picked to be The One or The Mob and they play against each other with the top 3 scores getting the same arcade game when each game ends. It also has a live host who can be funny from time to time on Fridays and Saturdays which is when the prizes are given out. The rest of the week is called extended play and everyone just plays against each other and there are no prizes but the more you play and the faster you answer and get right the better chance you have of being The One or The Mob.
From what I understand it is close to the tv show but I only came across the show a couple times and don't remember how everything worked on it.
It is in beta right now and only going for a few more weeks and is free to Gold members.

I played one night. I've been as close as about 20 points out of the top 10 general members (who, iirc, win a xbox live game). The spread between #1 and #10 was about 20 points, so I imagine there were at least 25-50 people between me and #10.
I tried to play last Friday, and it crashed, and didn't work for anyone.
I played Saturday, and it crashed halfway through. One player got picked, then disconnected immediately, so he lost his chance. The next player answered one question right, then almost everyone got booted, as he suddenly was 1 v. 2 after a really, really easy question (I was booted too, but came in just in time to see the previous question and the answers). With 2 players left, he had won 6000 XBox points. But instead of quitting, he got greedy, and lost after a few more questions and got nothing. The game stayed up for the final hour, but the host was gone.

Yeah that last weekend was screwed up which is why I made sure to mention it was in Beta just in case someone tried it out and it happened to them.
What was really weird was the 1 vs 2 moments happened on a Colorado Rockies question. I don't remember what it was exactly but nowhere near hard enough for 98 people to get wrong so I assumed there was an issue with most of the mob getting kicked out too.
My longest streak of right answers is 42 and I can usually stay right near the Top 10 during the shows where you win prizes as long as they don't come up with some Twilight question or a newer video game story question since I tend to wait to play them.
Extended Play is much harder though. I usually get a streak of 12-15 right and then they start bringing in some harder questions and that drops my accuracy. My current accuracy is 76%.

On extended play, I can get the first two sets of questions usually without any issues. I may have to skip 1 to preserve the streak. In the 3rd set, I usually don't know 2-3, then the last set is rough.
For the show on Saturday, my wife was next to me, so she knew some of the stuff I didn't know like that Twilight stuff.

Extended Play has really ramped up the difficulty as of late.
I felt stupid because I didn't know the name of the first spacecraft to go to Venus but I was able to answer "who let the dogs out".
During the live show I only missed two the whole night. One was about Sleepless in Seattle so I had no change and I forget the other one. I ended up getting a correct streak of 52 in a row.

When you play with your wife is she just around and answers some questions or does she have a controller and her own avatar?
My girlfriend wants to play and I have seen people as guest and they are just a copy of the main players avatar with a number on their shirt. She would like her own avatar but I don't know if we would have to pay for another gold membership which I don't want to do.

We just play on my account, I'm the only one with gold, so I never figured she could play as well, and never tried.WSGrundy wrote:When you play with your wife is she just around and answers some questions or does she have a controller and her own avatar?

Got the Gran Torino one right but it was just a guess and had no idea about Gosling one. Didn't know who he was.TheCatt wrote:Didn't know the Ryan Gosling or Gran Torino one. Was surprised that one guy kept going for it even after hitting the 6k level.
I was kind of bummed that the 1 vs 1 guy lost out but I did get that one right.
I tried getting into the top 3 for the free game but I keep jumping the gun. An answer to a question was obsolete but the moment I saw an O word I picked it as an answer but the word was obese.
I am always 25-35 points off the top 3 after 5 or so questions and I just can't hit the answers quick enough even though I think I am hitting them right when they come up.

New season started a few weeks ago. It is now on Friday and Tuesday night.
They have added achievements and player levels next to your names.
They have also seem to have started throwing in one crazy hard question each round. Last season if The Ones were stupid or took the money early I could go the whole night and miss only one question. Now I am missing 3-4 because they just come up with something really obscure which knocks out 35 people in the mob and is just a guess for me.
