King Arthur

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Well, that was different.

This aint your father's Excalibur. This is pre-Camalot, and Arthur (or, Arturius...) is a Roman in Briton in charge of the remnants of the "Sumation Knights..." The back story for that is, when Rome was taking the lands up around Germany, they were impressed with the mounted warriors there.... so, they let the Sumations give up their future sons to be Knights for the Roman empire.

The story really starts on a group's last day of a 15 year tour of duty, and one last service they are forced to perform.

Merlin is... well, he aint a wizard. Usully looks like a primitive woods dweller sporting animal skins and pagan symbols on his face.

I thought the most interesting character was the "evil" Saxon. Well, he was definately made out to be unnecessarilly cruel and evil. I can dig it.

Can you live your whole life without seeing this movie? I could have. Will you be pissed for wasting 2 hours on it? Probably not, but a definate small possibility.

I saw it too. Surprised I didn't put something up about it. I enjoyed it too. Don't know enough about the 'history' to say much about it. But, the movie was good enough.

There's several proper nouns in that movie I couldn't make out, even after they were said 10 times.

People called.... Woads?"

And what was that war cry... "Rose?"

No idea.

Yeah. Woad is right; it's those guys with blue faces, I believe. The name comes from the plant used to make the dye.

I don't know about the war cry. Haven't seen the movie.

Yeah but a woad is that which down Elmer Fudd would chase Bugs Bunny.

Or something.
