Ok, who cursed Disney World?
I think DW gets a bad rap. It's great if you have kids, and I've honestly never dealth with a company in which EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE I had contact with was clean, friendly, and knowledgeable.
We asked a random person walking around with a broom where we could find a certain character... she pulled a map out of her back pocket, showed us where to go, pointed out the route on the map, and showed us a good shortcut. Then gave us the map. And I have other stories like that.
Yep, I have no complaints about DW.

My trip to NYC was exactly like that.GORDON wrote:I think DW gets a bad rap. It's great if you have kids, and I've honestly never dealth with a company in which EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE I had contact with was clean, friendly, and knowledgeable.

We had a very similar experience.
Vegas is like a fun Disney World, for adults.
Damn skippy.
Imagine a town where everybody is drunk and carrying cash, yet you don't have to be nervous walking around the main strip at 3 a.m.

There's no way I wouldn't be nervous in that environment.Leisher wrote:Imagine a town where everybody is drunk and carrying cash, yet you don't have to be nervous walking around the main strip at 3 a.m.

Have you ever been there? Picture walking around Disneyworld during the daytime. It's pretty much the same thing.
Now go a block or two off the strip and that's a different story.
Most tourist places know where their bread gets buttered and the security around areas that tourists frequent is usually boosted to ridiculous levels. The strip in Vegas is like that (undercover cops are EVERYWHERE). The resorts in Mexico are like that. Anywhere cruise ships dock in the Caribbean is like that. Etc.
I should add that I'm not suggeting any place is 100% safe, but you're safer there in that situation than pretty much everywhere else in the country.
