A great rebound for Nintendo after taking a backseat in the last generation of consoles, but it's interesting to note that the compaints about the Wii are the same as the last Nintendo console: "Where are the games?"

I have (besides 3 PCs) a Wii, an X-Box 360, and a Nintendo DS.
For the Wii, I have Zelda: The Twilight Princess (which I've yet to play), WarioWare (nobody plays anymore), Tiger Woods (I need to return that for some credit at EB), and the Wii Fit. If it wasn't for the Wii Fit, I'd never play on the Wii, although I do indeed to play Twilight Princess someday.
Nothing is coming down the pike that interests me for the Wii now that I have a Wii Fit. As great as the Wii's innovation is, I think the controllers suck for games not using the motion gimmick.
For the DS, I have several games most of which I've played and beaten multiple times. Still, the one game that really gets me playing on the DS is Advance Wars.
For the X-Box 360, I have GTA IV (I'm at about 90% or so), Bully (which is sort of boring), and...that might be it. Still, that's the console I rent everything for and when folks come over to play sports games, that's the one we play on.

Are you telling me to return it and Tiger for store credit and to get NCAA College Football 2009 for the X-Box 360 instead?

I've read a few articles that show shown the stat that the Wii has the worst software sell rate of any console ever. I wish I could remember the % but it was some insane number of people only have Wii sports to play on their Wii.
It will stay big even though they had a shitty E3 and have no real games coming out for it because they they have the attention of the lame asses in gaming and the public.

I have heard the same about their software sales rate. However, I do know the reason behind it. Nintendo is strict on top of strict when it comes to allowing third party developers to make games for their systems. This is a constant complaint about them by both developers and the gaming media. They block a lot of games from ever seeing the light of day. Here's a funny, but NWS example. Apparently, someone made a porn site for the Wii and Nintendo shut it down pretty quickly.
As for calling normal non-gamers and the general public lame asses because they play on the Wii, well I think you're missing a more important point. Sure, the Wii is gaming-lite for the most part, but isn't the fact that they're introduced a shitload of non-gamers to gaming pretty damn awesome? The hobby needs more gamers. Everyone on the planet should be a gamer, then people might lighten up. Maybe someone really high up in the courts will play some Wii, then tell Jack Thompson to go fuck himself.
I only use my Wii for the Wii Fit (yes, it works). Other than that I'm gaming on the 360 or the PC. I don't like the controller for normal games on the Wii. I think the actual motion detecting gimmick isn't as sharp or perfected as it needs to be to really take gaming in that direction. But I still respect the innovation and realize what it means to get so many casual gamers that much closer to hardcore gaming.
I liked Twilight Princess quite a bit.
Defend it for me will you? I know it got decent reviews, but is it honestly worth it? Is the story good? Is there stupid repetitive stuff throughout the game? Do the controls suck? Is it better than NCAA football?

I don't think it is. I believe the Wii is bad for gaming. I don't think that this new group of casual gamers will eventually become hardcore gamers and start buying Mass Effect, Too Human, and Fable 2. They will just continue to spend their money on Super Happy Family Mini Game Collection 14. This is just going to encourage more developers to more money to the casual game market. I love my grandma but 99% of the stuff she likes sucks, so I don't want her having any influence over what direction video games go in because she is never going to make the jump from Wii Carnival games to GTA.
You have some stuff like Little Big Planet which I think kicks ass and will serve both the hardcore and casual but those kind of games that appeal to both are going to be few and far between.
I mentioned it before but Nintendos E3 this year shows the problem with everyone getting into gaming. They show Animal Crossing and Wii Music. Then defend the lack of hardcore(I hate that term but lack something better) games by saying Animal Crossing is for the hardcore gamer. If fucking Animal Crossing which I played is for the hardcore gamer then Nintendo is already lost. Not to mention Wii Music which is a music game where you don't have to keep the beat by pressing buttons you just stand holding the controller in a certain way and it plays music.
Like almost everything else the more people jump on board the crappier it gets because you have to appeal to too many people and the product gets watered down.

Wii Motion Plus is suppose to correct that but even then after we get some 1 to 1 motion detection lightsaber game the rest will be throwing a frisbee to your dog game.
As for NCAA 09 I have read about some pretty back bugs like difficulty sliders not working and rosters being deleted, but then an online dynasty would kick ass.
The Wii games can be insanely fun, but are typically of lighter fare. & Nintendo's family-friendly philosophy irks me. As Leish points out, the motion detection tech. ain't quite where it needs to be before I'm blown away by it.

It's been long enough that I don't remember specifics of the game, but I would answer Yes to all those questions.
Why not rent it for a few days from your local Blockbuster and see if you like it before you buy?
