That could get interesting.

I highly doubt players will get the same level of complete freedom in TGFKATSO as they do in Second Life, but if it's close it could be a problem for Second Life. Especially since EA has deep pockets for marketing and such. Not to mention that they could theoretically send out a free CD/DVD of TGFKATSO with any other game they publish.

Played it. The only real customization you get is reskinning things (and only with BMP files, so no alpha channels). Compared to being able to create objects with complex geometries, partical systems, and scripts in LSL that let your objects act like anything from gently floating clouds to rampaging death machines ... well, EA Land is a competitor to Second Life in about the same way that this game is a competitor to Halo 3.

Hmmm, upon initial reading, I was getting the impression that they were going to allow for a lot more user manipulation, ala Second Life. I guess they're just going to assume since they're EA, they can get the audience there, who cares if its fun or interesting?

Oh, and I consider that game pretty close to Halo 3.

I own Halo 3, but I've played that game you linked a lot more.
It's not me, it's someone else.
