Currently running thru the game for a second time to get all the packs of ciggies. There's this one spot right after getting out of the Pit into Pigsville where I swear to fucking god that at least one guard has x-ray vision. He always seems to find me before I hit the lights, thus making stealth kills all the more difficult. Looks like I'll need to set my brain to "Thief" mode before doing it.
Come to think of it, this game is like some weird hybrid of straight up shooters (Doom, HL, etc.) &, uh ... I guess you'd call them "sneakers" (Thief). I mean that in a good way, too. They managed to find a nice balance between killing & thinking. Last game I gave that credit to was "Gladius."

That the one with the classical score?
I suppose you'd call it "classical" for lack of a better term. It erred more on the side of thinking than twitching (& hell, you could turn the twitching off if you wanted to, but only at the cost of your dudes' effectiveness on the battlefield), but was still a pleasant mixture.
