Right? I expect someone at ESPN is going to say that.
What I really heard last night from them was "nobody wants to be #1" because LSU and Georgia lost. ESPN should not have a vested financial interest in the SEC and the ACC. It makes it impossible for them to be unbiased.

Interesting list because it's completely different from one I heard McShay discussing in regards to the upcoming draft. This list focuses on the here and now, while McShay's is for the next level (he has Moore from Oregon at the top).
What they say about Sayin is 100% accurate and fair. OSU has been running the most ridiculously vanilla offense so far. Not to mention when you watch the games you can see that he's been coached and coached and coached to not make mistakes and be the reason the team loses.

Still a good win playing a P4 opponent whose roster is estimated to cost between $35 and $40M. Particularly when you consider OSU started a new QB and ran the most basic and vanilla offense of all time because of it.
That's the honest answer. Now let me answer like an SEC fan:

Both are a great example of why preseason rankings are garbage. They were 1 and 3 respectively.
I can't speak for Texas as I only watched the one game, but PSU does deserve to be ranked. They're a loaded team and just played #2 super tight. They went all the way west to face an 0-4 team and probably took them for granted. That's poor coaching. Oh, and I will say their QB is crazy overrated.

Belichick needs to head back to the TV studio. NOT a color guy, but the talking heads who do halftime or whatever. Let him break down coaching decisions and whatnot.
