Reminding customers that it doesn't just make shiny, white devices that fit in your pocket, Apple yesterday announced a revamp of the iMac, its flagship home computer.
Out is the white, plastic casing that characterised iMacs past, and in its place is a thinner, brushed aluminium shell which is reminscient of the MacBook Pro line, and an "even thinner" keyboard.
Yes, diffuse, metallic grey devices that fit on your desk is quite the leap. But they keyboard is thinner, so it probably uses fewer resources from the environment than those planet-killing PCs with their evil "WIN-dows."
Check out the "new, revolutionary" shit they're offering. The apple key is now called the command key. They ship it w\ a spreadsheet app. But it's recyclable.
I finally get it. Apple doesn't make computers, they're in the biz of electronic scrapbooking. They just make shit so you can blog & organize photos of your most recent meaningless event & annoy the rest of the world w\ it.
