Let's hope the extensive rewrites and reshoots have removed all the woke because this trailer looks pretty good.
The final shot will probably spark some questions. I am here to answer them.

Captain America: Brave New World (2025)
Did you watch the disney show? He isn't a super soldier. It was a plot point that he didn't want to take the serum. But we're expected to believe he is taking punches from super soldiers and not folding. I think the entire premise is dumb, going beyond my ability to suspend belief in even a marvel movie.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."

I did watch that show. Did he take punches from super soldiers in that show? Kind of says a lot that I have no recollection of the show.
His Falcon suit can be the thing that explains his ability to take shots and even give them (think Iron Man type of tech), but his face is pretty exposed...
I will say that in this trailer there is none of that. This feels more like Olympus Has Fallen. We'll see how they handle that final fight though.

If regular guy is the one who threw the vibranium shield through the block building, then it's fucking retarded.

Rewatch that part. Two different scenes. I would bet the guy at the end does that.

"You're not Steve Rogers"

This wasn't dogshit! But it wasn't good either.
Apologies to Anthony Mackie, but he just isn't Cap. (Also, the guy playing Falcon, isn't Falcon.) I need Cap to be more than just a diversity hire, and I'm sorry, but that's what he is here. The worst part is they lean into it with the inclusion of Isaiah Bradley. I genuinely think the writing and casting is holding Mackie back from being able to truly step into the role. There's too much diversity around him that it destroys your immersion. At one point I thought to myself, they should have made him Captain Wakanda. The virtue signaling is killing Mackie's opportunity. Bringing in Bucky to once AGAIN try to force the audience to think Mackie has credibility isn't working. Having some heart and giving speeches isn't going to make people forget about Steve Rodgers and his incredible story and character. Mackie isn't picking up Mjolnir any time soon...
Let me point out that perhaps the biggest mistake is Marvel's belief that anyone can just step into a hero's role and takeover. This is especially true of iconic characters. The replacement is always going to fight an unwinnable battle to gain the public's respect. Look at DC and specifically Batman. Sure, other people have donned the cowl, but it was always known to be temporary. Nobody can replace Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne truly IS Batman and vice versa. That's why the Robins have all become their own heroes/villains. Nobody can truly take Bruce's place. The same is true of Steve Rodgers/Captain America.
Another thing that holds Mackie back is too much tech. They compensate the lack of a super soldier serum with tech, which is logical, but hurts the character.
Anyway, back to the movie, it's a convoluted mess. Nations are fighting over the Celestial from The Eternals, a movie nobody liked or saw. Guess who the two super powers are that are on the verge of war? The U.S. and...Japan. Not making this up. The Japanese navy is a real thing in this movie because apparently the writers are completely ignorant about the world. And don't get me started on a naval battle that happens during the film and how much they get wrong. General Ross (Harrison Ford) is the focal point of this conflict and his shattered relationship with his daughter (Liv did return!), which makes him a great target for the Leader, the big bad here.
Side note: Leader's whole motivation is about how Ross used him to make weapons and scheme for years and years. The same Ross who always failed to defeat/capture the Hulk. The same Ross who got sidelined by the Avengers in Infinity War for being a dipshit with bad ideas. I guess we're supposed to forget all that.
The fight with Rulk is effectively damaging and very rightly short. I really don't have an issue with it, except Rulk would have crushed Mackie's head like a zit in less than a second when he got ahold of it.
Oh, this movie introduces adamantium to the MCU, which is what Wolverine's bones are laced with, so...
The post credits scene does seem to still be relevant, although it's just words and not really a "cool" scene.
I watched it, and don't hate that I did, but I'd never watch it again.
