I'm in the back side of season 2.
It's amusing that the plot beats of this show are classic 80's "OMG karate is the most important thing, I will die for my dojo!" and every now and then a side character with perspective is like, "you guys know this is only karate, right? you're weird."

I'm early in S4. Kreese just poisoned another old buddy to come back.
I could write essays about this show, and the nature of masculinity, and generational trauma.

2/3 of the way through final season.
I think I mentioned it before, but Johnny Lawrence continues to have one of the best character arcs I've ever seen in anything. Yuo never would have predicted what he'd be in S1E1 when he was beating the shit out of bullies outside the 7/11, but getting to where he is now has been earned and believable. I applaud whoever wrote his part.

Holy fucking shit, this show is a study in generational trauma. and holy fucking shit, I stand by my earlier assertion that Johnny has had an amazing character arc.
And holy fucking shit, Johnny
This show has a lot of silly moments but they are pushing the buttons just right.
