Became popular as an eBook, and has become a print book now as well.
Tells the tale of several people inside a silo, living underground due to the outside world being a tainted ruined world. Deals with the stories of the people, the questions of power and control, and how people envision the world "outside" of the silo. Hard to go into more details without spoilers.
Originally released as a short story, it grew into a book, and even has a prequel (Shift), and a sequel (Dust) that closes out the trilogy later this year.
I think the writing was OK/good. It was wordy in a lot of ways that didn't need it. Like he was trying to build suspense when, quite frankly, you knew what was coming up. An interesting, light read. Nothing great, but decent.

I read the whole trilogy back in the day, and now it's a TV show on Apple. The show has 2 seasons, 3rd and 4th filming already. Show is pretty good. But different than the books

Watched both seasons, enjoyed it. Things are a little different, and character actions are sometimes frustrating to keep the plot moving, and there's some kind of weird inconsistency with how long it takes to travel places inside the silo, but entertaining.
