I've played...Arizona Sunshine...on VR and it's an FPS. No motion sickness. I wonder if it does things differently than The Forest? I'll be playing Alyx at some point in the future and that's the HL FPS, so maybe I'll hit the issue there?

The only time I've physically felt the effects of the VR is when heights are involved. The one short free one that everyone DLs where you're on a building way up high. That one fucked with me. I don't like heights (likely because of the tumble I took as a child). I had to remind myself that I was standing on the ground and what I was seeing wasn't real.

Do you walk around in Arizona Sunshine? That's what does it for me.

There's a roller coaster one that we've played with. You MUST sit down while 'playing' it. There is no playing, you just ride a roller coaster. No matter what you tell your brain (I'm not really on a roller coaster), you WILL fall over. We tried to stand through the ride a couple of times, but it's WAY too hard and we felt like we would end up throwing ourselves into a wall or table. It's hard to explain, but when you are (virtually) violently being tossed around, your brain forces you're body to 'brace for impact', and when there isn't one, you end up just throwing yourself around.

I also tried a racing sim. Assetto Corsa. It's wasn't stupid. Sitting in the car, at the wheel was very cool. VERY different from just racing on a monitor. You have the ability to look where you're steering into, etc. Now, driving with a mouse and accelerating with the keyboard kind of (very much does) pulls you back out of the car. But again, it wasn't stupid.

I'm going to give DCS World a try soon as well. It's a free flight sim on Steam.

I'm trying to remember. I'm not 100% certain if you were static and just shifted from location to location or if you moved. I'll have to play it again to see. I never did beat it. My kids discovered VR around that age and I never had access to it. :D

He kept talking about how close it was. We lost both seas early, their mid had us pinned down, etc. We never had a chance. Looking at the teams, they didn't seem that balanced either based on the 'scores'. We had way fewer total points.

Their water players should have taken out our mid WAY before they did. They had flag ships and they were long range bombing our water people. Our water players were out of the game and they just kept shelling them. I don't know how our mid lasted as long as we did.

If I remember right, your high level sea play on your side was absolutely ass. Didn't effect the front when he "won" his lane, and didn't stop other side's lowest OS brown player from building a flagship in the middle of HIS sea.

Had a blast with Rust tonight, Cake, Mordigan, Scooty. Built a bunker base, fought with damn near everyone we saw, ran an oil, got guns on day 1. Died and rage quit for the night, bunker secured. Lived the dream.
