Saw an interesting stat today.

Divorce rates:
Gay couples - 26%
Straight couples - 50%
Lesbian couples - 76%

Make of that what you will.

Generally speaking, it's a legit fact that men internalize their feelings, while women tell everyone that'll listen.

I guess that's what she's talking about? The problem with her line of thinking is two-fold:
1. Men and women are not the same. People can keep saying we are, but we're not. Thus, we are going to deal with things different for reasons specific to us. Point being, one size does not fit all.
2. Women tend to weaponize men's feelings. We'd rather tell the bear.

Trump's new SoD says women don't belong in combat roles.

Is he right or wrong?

Is thinking women are equal on the battlefield political correctness or woke continuing to go wrong? Being honest, if a battle came down to 2 soldiers fighting with bare hands, how thrilled will you be if your soldier is a woman and the other is a man? If you genuinely believe the woman has the advantage or has an equal shot to win, congratulations, this is your wake up call that you're being fed propaganda and misinformation.

Historically, there have been countless instances of women in battle, but it was usually out of necessity or the exceptions to the rule. Scientifically, he's right and there's zero debate. The all female Agojie from the Kingdom of Dahomey, made famous by the movie The Warrior King, were talked up as being really brave warriors by foreigners, like the French, but were in one major battle and were massacred by those same French. Joan of Arc was clearly fearless leading men into battle and was wounded many times, but she admitted that she never struck anyone with a sword.

There's a reason transwomen are a problem in the sports world, but not transmen...

However, has technology eliminated some of the concerns? I see no reason why women shouldn't be able to pilot drones. Sure, it's more "front line by proxy", but it's combat.

What is most interesting to me is hearing the outrage over this guy's belief coming from the same group who were outraged that women were recently discussed in the same breath as Selective Service.

If the female soldier is Billy Jean King and the male soldier is Bobby whatever his name was, I'd take the female. Point being, not all men are great soldiers, and not all women are horrible soldiers. I think the top 10% of women soldiers could replace the bottom 10% of men and we'd have a good fighting group. Then mix in the "he's stronger and faster, but he's a horrible shot and selfish. She's weaker and slower but has better aim and would take a bullet for a fellow soldier". Again, I'd take the woman.

So, is he wrong, yes. Should they have equal representation, not even close.

There is a lot of controversy surrounding that Bobby Riggs-Billy Jean King match. To give you a reason why you should be skeptical of it: The world's number 400 or so ranked male tennis player once played a round of golf and was drinking. He then was called to go play Venus and Serena Williams at the height of their power. Two women would dominated the women's game at the time, and who are light years ahead of Billy Jean King physically. He won 6-0 and 6-1 against the Williams sisters. That is a true story that Venus herself tells.

I would wager 10% is high. Super high when you consider we're talking about people in the military. These aren't gender students at Berkley. These are trained soldiers getting exercise every day.

However, I do acknowledge your point. Not everyone has the right mentality, man or woman.

So, I'll say this: If the testing standard has to be lowered so that you can be accepted, you shouldn't be doing the job.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of ... ms_sisters - The more accurate story, which isn't radically different.

This part, in particular, was not true. The match was Jan/Feb of 1998, Venus peaked in 2001-2002, Serena is considered to have peaked around 2013-2016. The sisters were 17 and 16 years old when this event happened.

No they're not, he said soldiers. Those are army guys. Non-rangers are laughable.

Now, Marines. 10% would be pretty high.

Fair, but I'll counter with Serena (or Venus?) stating on Leno or Fallon or O'Brien (google it) that she would get annihilated by the men. She said she wouldn't win a point against most of the top players, and that WAS at the height of her powers.

Possibly related? (They could probably take the Marines... :D )

Based on that video, I'm pretty sure we could take over Canada with a few cub scouts.

To be fair to them, they don't have to worry about defense when they're protected by the biggest gun on the planet.

Why are we continuing programs giving women advantages over men when they have far surpassed men?

What programs? And why is 2011-2021 shown as "projected" in that 2nd graph?

If anything, colleges have been making it easier for men to get in for the past 10 years to try and bring more balance.
