A man (kid?) with Down Syndrome, Zack Gottsagen, has no family and is stuck in a senior home. He dreams of escape and with the help of Bruce Dern, he does. Soon he hooks up with Shia LaBeouf, whose life is in the shitter, and they run from their problems together. They're running to Zack's dream, a professional wrestling school run by Thomas Haden Church. Sexy as hell, Dakota Johnson, who was in charge of Zack, has been tasked with tracking him down.
I saw that one review called this movie a "modern day Mark Twain fable", and that absolutely fits. It's got humor, sadness, and drama.
Is that Jake the Snake Roberts and two time NYT #1 best selling author Mick Foley? Yep.
Everyone does a great job acting. It's really off the charts. There isn't a bad performance to be found.
Great movie.

Watched it. It was moving.
Shia generally annoys me, but this was a good character.
