Wii!
I honestly think the DS has one of the best libraries of games for any game system.
Obviously the PC is the top of the list, but I'd seriously look at the DS as #2. Not only do you have all the DS games, but you also have all the GBA games available to you.
I keep one at work specifically for restroom visits. It's less conspicuous than carrying a magazine.

Well, this isn't really online gaming perse. I don't think there are any games that run through this sytem yet. Maybe later.
For now I think it just means we can send each other emails, and when we play games that use Miis as the characters their Miis will occasionally show up. Sometime in the next few days when I'm playing Wii boxing I'll be beating the crap out of The Catt.

Got a new toy. It's only $20, and comes with a Zelda shooting game that is worth that price alone.
My only complaint about the thing is that it doesn't shoot exactly where I'm pointing. There's a cross hair adjustment, but even when I move the vertical setting all the way up it still shoots a little low. (I keep the receiver bar thingy on top of a small speaker that's on top of the TV, so maybe it'd be better if I relocated it?)
As long as I shoot from the hip it works fine.
I'm really impressed with the Wii. I didn't think we had the technology to make the controllers work as well as they do.

Yes, that is definately the problem. The system is designed for the bar to be directly above or below the screen, and calculates screen position based on that assumption. Adding a spacer throws off those calculations.Paul wrote:I keep the receiver bar thingy on top of a small speaker that's on top of the TV

Yeah, I'd sign too if I got Guitar Hero instead of Rock Band. Or was it GH World Tour?GORDON wrote:Christ, there is now a Wii under the big TV.
Friends just left; we played about 4 hours of Guitar Hero. Wife is going out tomorrow with out Best Buy gift cards to buy another guitar controller.
Sigh.
It's not me, it's someone else.
Not sure what you mean.
We went out today and bought a new guitar. made sure it was one for the Wii.
Then we couldn't get it to connect when we were playing Guitar Hero.
Turns out the identical controller for one game wont work in the other. We got a guitar for "Rock Band" not really realizing the difference.
That's some fine engineering.

There's your problem right there. There are many things the Wii is good for. Playing games that are available for the other (read: better) consoles is not one of them.GORDON wrote:Christ, there is now a Wii under the big TV ... Guitar Hero.
