An article I saw over the weekend calls the fan reaction divided. Meanwhile, I haven't seen a single person praising it. It's been all "This makes no sense. As an actor, of course he can do it, but why use a guy we recognize as Iron Man, who made the MCU, in a role another actor could have played."
The only way this makes sense is if this is a multiverse Tony Stark.

It's their own fault.
They embraced the DEI/ESG garbage that resulted in hiring a bunch of unqualified people behind the camera, gender/race swapped a bunch of characters pissing off fans of the source material, and then called anyone who dared criticize their work every cliché insult they could.
Meanwhile, they were also greedy. They started using DEI/ESG as a way to bring in cheap "talent" and it shows. The CGI has been shit, the acting shit, the acting shit, etc. After Infinity War, they should have backed up trucks full of cash to the home of the Russo brothers, Gunn, RDJ, Evans, etc. You're making BILLIONS. Keep that train going by spending millions.
Star Wars/Star Trek did the same shit. Woke murdered these franchises.
It wasn't "superhero fatigue" unless that also explains why everything at the box office is failing, even the non-superhero movies? It was having a clear political agenda force fed to us, being insulted for not liking it, and atrocious fucking stories.
