Golden Globes

Had an enjoyable moment last night as I strolled through the living room to get water. My three daughters were watching the Golden Globes and they were upset that Barbie wasn't winning anything. In fact, to that point it had won nothing. They were complaining Oppenheimer was winning everything. I tried explaining that the GGs aren't a popularity contest and it's more about merit based upon the opinions of foreign journalists.

Then Barbie won an award for "achievement at the box office" or something. They celebrated, I laughed. That award is, literally, a popularity contest.

Other items:
-My kids told me "Peaches" by Jack Black didn't win movie song of the year, which is a travesty.
-Jo Koy is getting annihilated online. I guess he was terrible as a host? Doesn't surprise me as his entire career consists of a single joke, which is impersonating his Filipino mother.

Watched the intro and some of the start. He was terrible. But, he also only got the job 10 days ago.
