The Beekeeper (2024)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Now I have to see if honey is "flammable as fuck."

Right?

Google says yes.
The flash point of honey is around 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and it would therefore be classed as a combustible material, similar to diesel or formaldehyde.

I wonder if would work as a napalm substitute.
It's not me, it's someone else.

I feel like the lack if fumes with honey would stop it from sploding like that.

I guess I was thinking of the "sticks to you and keeps burning" aspect of napalm.

Statham is a beekeeper. but also a retired beekeeper. The first is innocent, the second is a special operative that operates outside of the normal channels of government. There's only one beekeeper active at any time and they respond to events that need to be resolved to "save the hive". It's a cool concept of someone acting outside the law to prevent anything going too nuts in the country.

A company that scams the elderly and weak take advantage of his friend and this beekeeper goes active again. He's a one man army that makes Rambo look pathetically incapable.

It's a very oddly shot film. It feels cheap, but the action is pretty good. Statham is always one step ahead of everyone else, and there's no real drama aside from wondering about his final target.

Josh Hutcherson, like the rest of the villains, are all smug douchebags, and it's very easy to hate them. This is especially true of him.

Nothing special, but Statham is always entertaining. True here despite him given very little to say. I would watch a sequel.

True enough: it's a Statham film. But kind of grim and predictable, not my fave.

Also funny that the evil call center is located in America and staffed by...well...look. Let's just say it looks like the Netflix version of a call center
