Ended up randomly connecting with a shit ton of faction points tonight. Was running with small groups, then big, then small, then big, then small. Push till we'd hit a wall. Pull back and reset. Do it again. Up to 83 kills, 62k points. Started the night with just under 25k points and not sure how many kills. I was getting between .45and 4500 points. The 4500 would come with a message about defending our territory. Ended the night pushed WAY deep into Forst Sterling territory.

It says I captured a red area. I don't remember doing that. . . Wonder if some of the party went into one and I got credit?

The combat part seems to grant a lot of points.

Nice. I think you're past me in kills.

This morning I did a quick 4-region spurt with a group, and got the entire 5k needed for daily bonuses. Had to buy/sell a treeheart to pay for repairs though. May have over-specced my gear. Then bought an Iron Chest and it had 250k fame in it.

Did my first ranked 5V5 today called the Crystal League. Totally different map than the arena's we've all played in, plays similar to normal arena but with a few slight differences. We crushed them, held them in their base just about the whole match.
Did a crystal, our team kicked ass.

Got 60k fame + 25k gold (of stuff)

5 1 7 3; best arena performance i've had. 17k damage, basically tied with the other 2 good dmg dealers.

Was just in an epic faction fight for a bridge. Fight lasted for a while. We ended up taking it where they had us stuck at another choke point where they could also hit us from some high ground. We pushed through that too, but then things fell apart pretty quickly. I think the cost for those two points were too high and our numbers were down. Had to pull out of the area.

Screwed up the edit and made it pretty pixelated. But, you get the idea.

It was also the first time I had a queue before getting to enter a zone due to the number of people in it.

I was part of that bridge fight. Didn't know you could lock down a chokepoint like that, but they had it locked down for a while.

Wife fishes from her island, even though I've told her she's only going to get shit fish. She went a proved me wrong. She's pulling up random stuff from haystacks to lamp posts to statues. Item values range from 450 silver to 38k silver. I don't know her silver/hour numbers because she doesn't keep track of time doing it. But, it's there. I've done a bit and pulled low end stuff so far. Not sure if you can catch this stuff in regular zones. I never have though.

I got a 5.2 item somewhere when fishing (probably a mist). You can often tell that the shape in the water isn't a fish. It looks more rectangular or such. Most items have been worth very little.

Up to 161 knock downs. Not sure how to see knocked down outside that report.

Factions are profitable. I had at least 160k in repairs, but am still way up after buying all the chests and selling stuff. Not to mention, I have well over 3 million fame book points banked up if I ever want to respec. Considering a healing build.

Explain yellow zone PvP for me. . .

I've been attacked by reds in yellow, and even killed once. I wasn't flagged. I was just collecting wood and killing surface monsters, he jumped me while I was low and killed me.

I just saw a red running through Yellow. He was low, so I figured "fuck it" and jump off my horse to kill him. My arrow goes right through him as if he wasn't there. I try to click to attack, and I don't shoot. Why couldn't I hit him?

My understanding of Yellow PVP: Flagged reds can attack anyone, and be attacked by anyone.

I was red hunting for a bit last night in PVP (Yew Woods) and got 2 of them (with help). I was dancing around them until another player or two came (I have nothing that retards movement, so needed someone to hold them down).

That being said, I've had what you describe happen once before. Unsure why.

I've mostly been playing on a 15" screen (laptop) this weekend due to the dogs/etc. Switched to my 27" for once, and everything is so big.

In one hour this morning, I could get my daily adventurer goal + faction goal.

Tried a new build for 5v5, and doing even worse than I was. (first match, 6k dmg done)

Getting info on this game is hard.

Well, I led my team in damage done. My team sucked. (last match, 18k dmg done)

Once nice thing about this game is there's lots of ways to play: crafter, gatherer, Zerg, PvE (with multiple flavors), PVP with multiple flavors.

So, at least I'm good at fishing.

OK, found a much better guide (first video was complete shit), and also realized a) a skill I need requires L85 Axing (I'm 47), and b) I was wearing once piece of the wrong clothing. CarrionCaller build. Got 21k damage (tied with tops) on first try of using it correctly. (Which doesn't account for the healing it blocks, but whatevs). 15 assists. 4 deaths, 1 kill.
