I now declare that every single twitter user, who thinks anyone wants to hear their stupid opinions, is a narcissist. And now many have proven themselves whiny hypocrites. "Ow my 1stA rights all of a sudden!"nar·cis·sist

Random Twitter thought of the day:
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
Yeah but today these people are declaring themselves bastions of free speech, or something.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
It's honestly frightening how many people don't understand free speech.
"Free speech should not include hate speech."
Yes it should. Why? Because the bar for what is hate speech is always changing.
"Popular speech isn't what needs protection."
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
"Masked debit card" sounds kinda illegal.
A "nation-state or bad actor" can't do shit if no one takes twitter seriously, like me. These people are retarded.

Open a bank account lately? I did a few years ago, it was a half hour with background checks and ID verification. "Sorry, new federal regulations."
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
Dude.
I just said it sounded like something illegal. You have to jump through hoops to get the account, then you just mask the info. No need to be hurtful.

I'm just saying, you can learn all about card masking. GOOD DAY, SIR
It's not me, it's someone else.
Y'all should just fuck and get it over with.
The $8 thing always seemed curious to me. All they have to do is add a requirement that one prove their identity and all of a sudden it means something and is worth it.
Like I said, Elon seems to be missing a skeptical friend.

That movie is underrated.
What if Elon's $8 blue check thing was designed to fail? It just seems so blatantly obvious that it could be abused, there's no way that wasn't pointed out.
So what if they wanted it to fail so they could then justify requiring proof of ID to get blue checks?
But why, right?
Because once the celebs and corps are jumping through those hoops to get verified, their accounts become far more credible. They become reliable sources. Now it becomes trendy for regular folks to do the same to earn that respect.
Meanwhile, the more blue checks, the more revenue, but also the less toxicity as the anonymity disappears. Bots lose their power and so on.
Also, if you think Meta isn't going to steal this new revenue stream idea, you don't understand how business works.

Well, they've now banned new accounts from doing it. Feels like a whack-a-mole strategy over there, but whatevs.
It's not me, it's someone else.
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when it comes to really obvious stuff.
I do think we're closer to a national law requiring ID proof for all social media. It'll be a campaign called "Expose Hate to the Light" or some shit. "Nobody needs anonymity! You have free speech!"

Approximately half the user base of twitter has declared war on twitter. I'd suggest banning and wiping the accounts, and let them start over and try to play nice.
It's a private company, I've been told over and over their users have no free speech rights.
