Can a holodeck be that far away?
Eye of Judgment for PS3
The $600 dollar price tag, plus camera and cards seems is a bit pricey but still looks cool.
They also need to add some more things for that troll/goblin to say.

Its almost like Chewie and R2 playing chess.
Eh. It's just 2D on top of FMV. A touch off sync at parts too.
Nintendo had an actual animated 3D hologram of Link at the last E3. So the chess (or whatever) game from Star Wars is possible right now.
Now whether it'd be cost effective or as small as the one on the Falcon...

In another video, a guy was poking his finger at the dragon, and the dragon would growl and snap at it.
I like the dragon, that was a cool effect.
For you older gamers, do you remember when this was first done? It, obviously, didn't involve the Eye Toy or PS3, but Battle Chess was fun. The problem with Battle Chess was that the animations took f - o - r - e - v - e - r and you'd see all the game had to offer after only a few sittings.
The developers here need to learn those lessons from the past and add as many different animations/sounds as they possibly can to make the game stay as fresh as possible for the players without forcing them to constantly buy new cards.
New and fresh animations/sounds will distract the players from realizing that they're playing a card game and the TV/PS3 is just providing some color and no substance.
