I was a ticket checker for a season. Our job was to check your tickets before letting you into the section. Making sure you actually have seats for that section. TONS of people will buy two single tickets for different areas, but then try to sit next to each other. I would even see groups of 4 (2 sets of 2) do it. People would get pissed because checking every ticket took a lot of time and people would miss stuff. So we stopped checking. Then people were pissed because their row was so crowded.

Point is, not only are the spaces small, but your row probably has 2 people in it that aren't supposed to be there.

I saw one game at the Shoe. OAPI took a bunch of us there. I couldn't see a chunk of the field because there was a pillar in the way. A pillar. In the middle of the seating area. Well done.

Also, I wonder how many times the lines were redone to increase capacity.

A lot of stadiums have seating behind poles. Toledo has some poles that are very much in the way. Hell, almost every seat in the Warsaw stadium is behind a pole. :D

They have done a ton of remodeling over the years, but where the hell were your seats?

I think all the older stadiums probably have seats like that.

The one good thing about the big house is that they built into the ground, so they didn't need to build upwards. Thus, no support columns.

It was a looooong time ago. But I'd say on like the 10-20 yard line, and I only remember one pillar being in the way off to the left. I could see both end zones at least.

Captain trying desperately to save his sinking ship.
"We believe that between the travel and coaches' salaries and some of the other expenses that you incur when you join the Big Ten, that the small delta in the [Big Ten] media rights deal will be more than offset and we stand by those numbers," Kliavkoff said.
1 - A deal that will become substantially larger once UCLA and USC are negotiated into it.
2 - This reeks of "Yeah, but you have to spend so much money to compete for national championships!!! Who wants those expenses?"

Went to the NCSU-Va Tech game last night. It was about the ugliest first half of non-weather-impaired football I've ever seen. Like that game on TNF a few weeks ago.
It was an ugly contest in the first half all the way around as both teams struggled to move the ball as both teams combined for 10 punts in the first two quarters. Both teams combined for 176 yards of total offense as the Wolfpack offense were able to capitalize off a shanked put late in the first half to make the score 3-0 heading into the break.
Fortunately the 2nd half was better. Va Tech had 3 big plays and went up 21-3. But then choked and NCSU won 22-21.

Harbaugh says two Michigan players were attacked.

I only see one in the video and perhaps he wasn't active today because he looks like he's wearing normal clothes.

This shit should never happen.

Here's the attack on the second player and this one's in pads. This is fucked up. I hope some of these MSU players get hit with charges. A message needs to be sent throughout the sports world that this sort of shit won't be allowed.

It's also the third fight in seven games in those tunnels.

Perhaps a redesign of the stadium should be considered?

I didn't watch the games yesterday, as my wife and I were celebrating our 20th the whole weekend (without kids).

But I did see the scores, and god damn Wake, wtf? UNC was down 24-14, and I check right before sleep and they got it to 24-21... was nice to wake up to a 42-24 victory. Was about to say I should never bet again!

WF turned the ball over 8 times.

It was a bad day for Clemson with Syracuse getting beat at home by ND and WF getting blown out by an unranked team.

First CFP rankings come out Tuesday.

My prediction:
Tennessee
Georgia
OSU
TTUN
TCU
Clemson
Bama

I can't really argue with this ranking. OSU "has to" be behind Georgia. But, let's go
UGA
OSU
Tenn
TTUN
TCU
Clemson
Bama

Nick Saban still a pile of shit. Jermaine Burton won't get punished for his 2 post-game assaults.
