Iron Monkey

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

1. 1993 Chinese flick, directed by Woo-Ping and brought to America by Quenten Tarentino.

2. A Robin Hood story, with good vs. coerced good vs. evil conflicts.

3. It's an up to date regurgitation of all those old kung-fu movies, which is a Good Thing.

4. I watched the DVD dubbed into English because I wasn't in the mood to read subtitles, and the bad voice acting threatened to pull me out of the flick. I wonder if it would seem more serious if I understood the native Chinese. It has a couple gorgeous moments, it has several moments where I made exclaimations at some badass kung-fu'ery, and one moment in a flashback that seemed to speak a thousand words with a single 2 second scene.

5. It's no Crouching Tiger, but it's worth seeing if you're in to this sort of thing.

Seen it as the plasma cine many a time. Didn't blow me away, but watchable.
