X (fka Twitter)
Twitter seems to have the same cult support and fanbase as Apple.
I don't regret never getting into twitter. I resent other people deciding what is and isn't good for me to consume. I'm an adult and don't need my hand held.

Going to play games, then the rules have to apply to everyone equally.
Or you don't agree in this case because you politically don't agree with Elon and/or the lady? (Which is what I'm thinking here.)
Also, it is illegal to threaten someone.
So, no free speech for you!

The people at twitter suppressing it wholesale?

Apparently I missed it when either of them said that illegal speech, particularly threats of violence should be allowed?

I bet they won't sue. They'll be forced to reveal the huge percentage of their accounts that are bots.

I heard there's a billion dollar payment for him pulling out, so maybe a lawsuit is off the table?

Ah, yeah that would be a lawsuit.
Although, Gordon may be right about what the lawsuit will expose. I'm guessing their numbers are way off. It's popularity has been on a steady decline since 2012, they claim to make billions off advertising but I never see or interact with them, the bots are probably far more than the <5% they claim, the public reputation of Twitter is that its a toxic cesspool, etc.

.... And shares will go down when tons of accounts are found to be bots?
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
My bet is >10% of all messages are bots.

Even if most of the "monetized" accounts are not bots, the audience bots matter too. Advertisers pay for numbers and if 30% of their "audience" are bots, they will not want to be paying as much.
I still don't get how they make money. I've never clicked on a promoted Tweet. I cannot name the last product or company I have seen advertised on Twitter.

demonetization applies to bots that "see" ads, so they dont count.
It's not me, it's someone else.
Fair enough.
But I thought it mattered when certain celebrities lost hundreds of thousands of followers during purges?
