Ok, debate the film here.
The movie sucked ass.
I'm curious to see how this movie gets defended since the writing is so bad. I'm expecting a lot of "tribute" horseshit, like the asstacular Cabin Fever got.
Sky Captain - Spoilers thread!!!!
I was not really paying attention to the plot line or the story and just talking to my gf the whole time, UNTIL Jude punched Paltrow in the face! I'm sorry but Sky Captain punching the wining reporter bitch out was the highlight of the whole movie for me.
To be sure, the gf did not enjoy it as much, and was relieved when she predictively returned the favor

Yeah, I thought the story and plot was weak as hell, but it was one of the better looking movies as far as style that I've seen in a while. It was a beautiful film to watch. Just better to watch without hearing.
I'll probably buy it to have playing as background visual for back in my computer room.

"... and then I was forced to walk the Trail of Tears." - Elizabeth Warren
I was annoyed by the backstabbing bitch of a reporter that sold the whole world out so that she didn't get cut. Not to mention all the other stuff she did. Lots of other stuff I had problems with too. However, watching 'the making of' was pretty cool. Only about 3% of everything you saw was real. The whole movie was filmed in a blue room and everything was added later. So, in that respect, the movie was pretty cool. It was also the guys first movie, directorial debut, etc. So, I guess he should get some slack there. Over all, I'd see where my 12 year old will dig the movie, but I could leave it alone.
