So.... they run the bank and have big noses, = anti-Semitism? That's literally the only cliche I can think of.

Will the jews recover from this offense?

I assume this is part of the ongoing effort to cancel JKR because she doesn't think a man in a dress is AKSHUALLY a woman (as if by magic!)

No idea. I was pondering replying to Jon Stewart to ask why he's dealing in anti-semitic tropes.thibodeaux wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 12:02 pm I assume this is part of the ongoing effort to cancel JKR because she doesn't think a man in a dress is AKSHUALLY a woman (as if by magic!)
It's not me, it's someone else.

So there is that new triliogy, the "Fantastic Beasts" stuff. I was so underwhelmed by the first movie, I never bothered with the following 2... until now.
I watched the second movie, I think it's "Crimes of Grindewald." This is a prequel to the harry potter flicks.
I watched it over 3 days. 2 lines really caught my attention (consider these spoilers, but i dont thin anyone cares):
1. The WW1 vet sees the premonition of the looming WW2. The look of abject terror on his face was striking.
2. The severely broken woman doesn't know how to deal with someone showing her compassion. "Newt... you could always love a monster." That was a good line.
Anyway..... prequels suffer from their nature. We know where it's going, and it isn't exciting. There's nothing to speculate.

Rebooting the series, for HBO, I think. Finally! What everyone wanted.
They have casted the new Snape.
This is the second article I have seen where the new Snape's picture isn't loading.

I'm out, btw. DEI is their focus, not good story. I hope JK gets lots more money too.

Could be true because it's well known they opened casting for the role up to women.
Hollywood just cannot help themselves. They are either trying to push an agenda, which is actively pushing people the other way. Or they are trying to "appeal to all audiences", which simply does not work. It creates a diluted product that alienates fans of the source material and still doesn't bring in new eyes.
