Gordo2.0 looks like he's trying to get closer so he can eat the camera. Look at that eager look in his eyes. And he's even licking his lips in that second one.

Cute, though, that I'll give ya.

That's the exact model I was looking at the other day. Hot.

I googled that brand for reviews, and the consensus was from 7 to 9 out of 10.

Two friends have smaller (and non-1080p) versions of that one, and love them.

Yep, it's a great price for what it is. It's hard shopping for a TV these days when money IS an object.

Well, if you've got that much $ for a TV, it must not be much of an object. :)

Or, I'm a cheap bastard.

Nah, it's easy to walk into the store and say, "Gimme the biggest and best thing you've got" and pay $8k for it. But if you're in the $2k range, it's hard sorting through all the DLP's and Plasmas and 1080p's and digitals and pip's and HDTV's and LCD's... etc etc etc to find something good in your price range.

Looking at the specs, there's no stand. What a pile of crap TV!! What are you going to do, lean it up against the wall?

Movie details I only first noticed when viewing on a 61" high definition TV:

The Fifth Element - The Aziz of the "Aziz, LIGHT!" scene has the remnants of a bloody nose. Hot tempered archeologist?

Stargate (The movie) - In the scenes where the combat team is in the desert, the entire camera crew is easily visible reflected in their sunglasses.

More to come.

Empire Strikes Back - Early on, on Hoth, Luke Skywalker watches a meteorite slam into the side of a snow-covered mountain. What I couldn't see until now is that the tracks of the special effects guys are clearly visible going up the side of the hill to where they planted the charges in the snow for the "meteorite impact."

And this is the re-released "special-edition-FX-are-cleaned-up" version of the movie that HBO is playing. WTG GEORGE LUCAS!!!!!!9!
