Son-of-a-bitch. There's no way in hell Nic Cage can make this film not suck. The original kicked absolute ass. This remake will suck absolute ass.

Someone chick disappears on a remote island home to a new age hippie commune & a dude is sent to track her down. Anything else is probably giving shit away. Suffice it to say the original created a truly creepy, suspenseful atmosphere. A directorial triumph, goddamnit.

I read the spoiler and it played out exactly like I thought it would, based on the trailer I saw.
