Just created my first VM in HyperV.

It is soooooooo much easier to do in HyperV than VMWare.

Yes. Admittedly, I haven't done it in 10 years, but even then that was a true statement.

VMware is like Oracle to Microsoft's SQL Server.

I just do not understand making your tech difficult to work on unless you're a fully trained technician. It makes zero sense. 85% of the business world are SMBs who don't have such folks on staff.

It's the main reason Cisco bought Meraki. Their chief complaint was from customers who were sick of needing a CCNA or CCNE on staff to maintain their network switches, VoIP, etc. So Cisco bought Meraki whose equipment is written logically and in English. It's a lesson MS learned many moons ago as well.

Setting up this VM has been like simply setting up a PC. It could not be easier. Unless I hit some huge glitch I'm shoving my VMWare machines out the door in the next two years.
