One thing I don't understand is the irony.... people won't hesitate to state the a government operation is clumsy, inn efficient, incompetent, and ignorant. Yet, it isn't hard to find a subject where he same person will say, "Yeah well the government HAS to regulate THAT."
Make up your minds.

Ah, parents breed children. And then children breed stupidity in the parents.

And then parents breed excuses to counter their children's sphere of stupidity. The cosmic ballet continues...

I'm perfectly willing to rely on private accreditation organizations to tell me who is properly trained in the delivery of medical services. After conferring with those accreditation organizations, like the American Medical Association, I want to be free to chose any person I want for any medical purpose I see fit.
I want the government to tell me who I can seek medical services from.
As opposed to right now where the insurance companies dictate who I can seek medical services from and what medical services I can get.
Everyone's free to see who ever they wish. If one doesn't like their choice of doctors one should consider another insurance plan or pay for it out of pocket. I'll admit that medical insurance has screwed that system up over the years. There are choices, however.

Not a whole lot, especially when employer-subsidized insurance companies have a list of approved doctors.
We need to get medical care and insurance completely into the hands of the consumer, and then we can watch health care prices fall. As of right now the medical industry is not in a free supply and demand state. It is heavily subsidized by government and businesses (your employer), and health care costs illustrate it.

Yeah, thats SUCH a great system...NOT!
Uh, what's your point? You're against insurance companies, and against free-market healthcare... so you favor socialism?
