You're right. Georgia just lost to Bama on the final play of regulation after leading them for most of the game. They'd obviously be a huge dog in a rematch. If you're going to troll at least try to have some logic to make it interesting. I'd bet you right now that of the top 6, ND would be dogs to everyone.

Not to mention education, coaching, weight training, dorms, food, travel, etc.

Don't forget all the money they earn from their salary, too.
Their salary is everything listed plus all the under the table stuff. Now if you want to say they're underpaid, that'd be a different conversation.

You spent a minute in Vegas recently, but you don't know Vegas. Giving Georgia a bunch of points is simply bad gambling.

It's not that they are underpaid. They are getting a LOT in the current system. They are getting trained by the best in the business (at many schools). They are earning (or should be) two degrees. One to play football, the second a traditional degree. If I wanted my kid to have the same access to training, facilities, etc to prepare him for pro football, but not at a college. . . . One, it doesn't exist, two, if it did, it would be VERY VERY VERY expensive. Those coaches/staff/facilities cost millions per year per team. Split that up between the number of players on the team. . . it's expensive. They are working in lieu of having to pay for everything they are getting.
BREAKING: Urban Meyer is retiring as Ohio State coach following the Rose Bowl. Offensive coordinator Ryan Day will take over as Buckeyes coach beginning Jan. 2. News conference at 2 p.m. today in Columbus.
Kinda saw this one coming.
It was a good run Urb, thanks for all the wins vs Michigan and a Championship, we couldn't have asked for anything more.
Yeah, we all did. As I said just a few posts ago, the man can't coach forever. He's got a fucking cist in his brain.
I figure he sticks around to recruit and hopefully takes over Gene Smith's job as AD.
Biggest loser from this announcement is Jim Harbaugh. 0-4 against Meyer. He could go 4-0, but the media will constantly ask him about his inability to Meyer. More torturous is he'll be asking himself that question.
Also, this is well said:

Olympic athletes go broke paying for training and coaching hoping to one day get paid for their efforts.
College players get all that for free and get a free education to fall back on if they fail.

The people I've met in life who can be both elite athletes and very good students is very, very small.
Thankfully, you don't need to be a very good student, just good enough to graduate. Employers don't ask about your grade point average.

Ditto. I've also never asked for anyone's that I'm interviewing.

I think UNC should win next year's Football championship on this recruit's name alone
The coaching triumvirate of Mack Brown, Tim Brewster, and Tommy Thigpen made multiple visits on Friday, one of which was a trip to South Carolina to visit with UNC defensive back commitment Storm Duck.

That list looks better. Around where I think the Bucks should be ranked right now too.

The Big Ten, Pac-12 and Big 12 all play nine conference games, while the SEC and ACC -- the only leagues with playoff participants in all five years of the system -- play eight.
I knew the SEC only did 8, I Didn't know the ACC did as well.

Yep, part of why people in other conferences are constantly bitching about bias.
Now factor in how Big Ten, Pac 12, and Big 12 (Not sure on ACC?) all have policies to NOT play DII teams, and you can see why the SoS arguments are completely invalid. If human bias didn't arbitrarily rank 7-8 SEC teams in pre-season polls, all of their SoS would be among the worst in the nation.
As I've said before, the system is broken and unfairly biased towards the SEC.
