Inside Carolina reported Monday that UNC had reached a deal with Brown, who coached the Tar Heels from 1988 to '97. But multiple sources told ESPN that as of Monday morning, the deal has not been finalized.

Will a loss hurt their RPI that much? That's what those NET rankings replaced.

OSU is #16 in the AP poll. WAY too high.

TTUN's Rashan Gary declares. He didn't thank his coaches or his teammates. I wonder if that was an oversight or intentional?

This is not photoshopped. A TTUN site actually posted this, and as you can expect, it's causing much laughter in Columbus.

Jim's dad on the Harbaugh podcast (which is apparently a real thing):
“This team in my judgement, and Bo Schembechler taught me this, I have 5 Big Ten rings, championship rings, 5, but two or three of those were ties. Bo never looked at them as ties. So we this year tied for the Big Ten East Conference Championship. We were 8-1 and Ohio State is 8-1. I think if I would have the means to do this I think we ought to make a little bit of a banner and stick that somewhere to remind us that we were champions. There were only two teams that finished with only one loss in the Big Ten. Ohio State and Michigan and I understand the tie break. But I do understand too that we were the co-champions of the Big Ten.”
Lowered expectations...

In other news, I'm hearing the Big Ten will discuss realignment this weekend. MSU or TTUN to the East is the big talk.

I don't want to live in a world where we don't play MSU and OSU, like we do now, every year.

And no, we are not 'co-champions'. The rules have changed, and we all play by them.
Bo never considered them ties. Now that there are no ties. . .. . wait, ties are ok. We are still champs. WIN THE FUCKING GAME AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRY TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL BETTER!! In other words "No, we didn't beat OSU, but we had a pretty good season." Fuck you. No we didn't.

Called Syracuse bringing the young Buckeyes back to Earth. That's one of those moments a coach loves because now he can get egos in check and get more attention when he/she is coaching.

And yeah, fuck ending The Game. I would never want it to go away. The problem the Big Ten faces is if TTUN and OSU are in separate divisions and still play The Game, then it's very likely they'll play in back to back weeks as the Big Ten championship is the week following.

Send PSU and MSU to the West, bring one chump and one "good every couple years" team over to the East to replace them, and winner winner chicken dinner.

Oh, and dump Rutgers. Steal Pitt.

P.S. Didn't grab a screen shot at the time, but one of the college football talking heads said the idea has been floated that Notre Dame could be dumped from the top 4 if both OSU and OU win. The thinking being that their wins and SOS aren't impressive, plus they aren't a conference champion. IF such a crazy thing happened, ND would be forced to join the B10 or ACC immediately. It'd be interesting to see where they'd go. I don't think they'd have a prayer of going undefeated in either conference.

UND getting dumped gives me something to hope for, but I do not see it happening

If OSU somehow slips into the playoffs, don't discount the fact that they're a ratings juggernaut as to why they were picked.

Lady Bucks beat the Lady Tar Heels.

To be fair, our women's bball team has been FAR better than our men's for several years.

Ours has been trash ever since we had an academic scandal and the Lady Heels were the scapegoat.

New report based on "sources" making the rounds in Columbus that Ryan Day will be retained and 2019 will be Urban's last season as HC.

Most commenters are calling BS already.

Makes sense to me though. The guy can't coach forever.
