I just added a gig to the gig I already had.
I ADMIT IT COULD BE MY IMAGINATION, but the WinXP portion of bootup seemed to go faster.
I'll fire up Farcry and see if it goes faster.

Whoa, gigantic difference.
Not in gameplay itself, because that was always smooth as silk. But before with 1 gig I'd end the game and the hard drive would crank a good 30 seconds as it, I assume, cleared paging stuff. With 2 gigs I hit "Quit Game" and it was instantly quitted.
