Cheerleader gets tossed from basketball game.

He should be reprimanded, but told another incident gets him booted from the squad.

Yes.

Player gets 2nd technical for a dunk. This was ridiculous. I can only imagine it was because his right arm came out or he looked at the player on the ground, or whatever. Stupid.

He pointed at the player on the ground. Taunting.

I had to watch it twice before I saw it. How the trail official saw it and not the lead who was right there...

Seems like a cheap tech to me, but it is against the rules. Maybe the kid was doing more in the game that we don't know about and this was the only chance the ref had to grab control?

For like 1/1000th of a second, who knows his arm wasn't just being carried forward by momentum? Seems like crap.

I asked a ref for you.

He said the same thing I did. The kid did break the rules. However...he wouldn't have given the kid a T for that as it wasn't a gross violation of the rules. He also wondered how the "C" ref could see and call it from his position. He thinks the ref was watching this kid based upon him already having one T in the game. If that T was for taunting, then this T makes a lot more sense. He also said the announcers were "fucking idiots".

One thing to note is that the kid headed directly for the locker room. He didn't plead his case. A shrink would tell you that shows he knew he fucked up.

Yeah, the "caliber of the player" argument is retarded.

Or, that he's well-coach or in control enough to know it's not worth arguing.

He probably wouldn't have gotten his second T in that case...

Your argument falls off the rails at "completely undeserved".

If I had to guess who the 8 of the 16 are....
Auburn, Kansas, Cincinnati, Clemson, Texas Tech, Tenn, AZ, and Oklahoma.

No really good reason for those schools, other than Auburn. Bruce Pearl doing terrible things? Shock.

I would be surprised if Cincinnati is in there. Only because they method of recruiting is to take the people nobody else wants because of criminal records and whatnot.

Pretty calm weekend, Auburn upset, but that was the law of averages coming. UMich was favored a little, won. OU mildly upset by Texas. Tenn upset by Georgia. Baylor mildly upset Texas Tech.

More importantly, Texas Tech lost their top scorer, and Auburn lost a starting forward.

Today's loss should put us back where we belong and drop our seed a bit. Good.

I can't argue with the first half of the sentence, but I would argue with the 2nd. If I were the type of person who did that.
