Go To My PC

Post by GORDON »

This is remote access software.

I am cleaning up someone elses PC for use in a different function, not scratching/reloading, just cleaning it up. Trying to remove GoToMyPC.

Apparently you can't just uninstall it, you need to go to their website and DL an uninstallation program, and they keep trying to deflect you to other pages.

And funny funny joke, the uninstall software just installed a more up-to-date version. This is like malware.

End of story: the "uninstall program" didn't work, so I went back into "Add/Remove programs" where it should have been in the first place. "Uninstall" was grayed out, unclickable. "Modify Program" was not, and I could get into that, and uninstall from there.

How is that not illegal?

It's like having a plumber come to fix your sink and then refuse to leave.
