Dick Dale
Dick Dale
You've no doubt heard "that one song from the Pulp Fiction opening titles." That's "Misirlou" by Dick Dale, who's 79 and still the king of surf guitar. He managed to make a huge impression on goddamn near every guitarist from the '60s on. I may be purchasing some LPs to get inked.

Dick Dale
Dick came back to town. Unfortunately it was the same night as Bryan Ferry. So I dropped an LP cover with my buddy who works there to get inked. No dice. But I got something perhaps better. Vintage poster of Dick Dale, martial arts guy, surfer, and guitarist, riding a bad-ass wave on his board. 27" square, at least 3 decades old, maybe as many as 5, signed and dedicated to the venue.
