You'd think the police at least could have checked them into a psychiatric hospital for a few days, involuntarily. The behavior described in the article would seem to warrant it.

A couple things:The teens were interviewed by police, during which they admitted to being in the area "smoking weed," police said.
Their identities have not been released because they are juveniles who committed no crime, police say. But the nature of the incident has troubled even the most seasoned law enforcement officials.
1) I wouldn't mind if someone "accidentally" lets their names and photos slip.
2) Goddamn, talk about giving stoners a bad name. I hope their next set of rolling papers is soaked in formaldehyde.
