10 years too late

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

The Simpsons movie

The Simpsons were funny a decade ago. Now they have been eclipsed by Family Guy and everything on Adult Swim.

I predict their movie will be a big hit with people who think Family Circus has been or is a good read.

On a similar topic, anyone know the fate of American Dad? Did they run out of episodes, put it on hiatis, or cancel it?

Maybe they'll get some of the old writers to return for the feature.

Nothing in TV will ever come close to years 3-8 of the Simpsons and it definatly feel off while Futurama was on but once that went off the it got good again. Except for the occasional left wing nutjob comments the last season have been 2nd only to The Office.

I think family guy has really fallen off. Still like it but it use to be laughs the whole way through when it came back it is still funny but not close to the first seasons.

Adult Swim is just a shell of its former self. Both family guy and adult swim were at their peaks during the Simpsons lull.

Adult Swim, for me at least, has risen & fallen w\ the amount of spare drunken time I get to spend watching Sealab & ATHF. Once that time ran shot, Adult Swim was nothing more than a lineup of quick-fixes to distract me from me daily work/school shit. Once Captain Murphy died, it was only a matter of time.

I think you can point to Capt. Murphys passing as the beginning of the end. They stopped making new braks at that time also which was fucking stupid. Aqua Teen held on for a while longer but the demise of Brak and the loss of Capt. Murphy were just too much and it never recovered.

Robot Chicken still gives good laughs and squidbillys has had me laughing but I have only seen a couple shows that I though were worth my time.

But a few years back with Aqua Teen, Harvey Birdman, Brak, Space Ghost(reruns), and Sealab was great.

I will see the Aqua Teen movie because the lure of Carl and the Mooninites is just too great.

I thought Venture Brothers was rather brilliant.

Super Milk Chan = retarded.
12 Oz Mouse = retarded.
Minoriteam.... all signs point toward retarded.

It feels to me like they're swinging their comedy toward the stoner crowd, and that's a shame.

Send me some of what you're smoking. I've laughed an average of once per episode during the Simpsons this year. (I remember last year being their worst ever.)

Family Guy, The Office, South Park, My Name is Earl, and Scrubs (the best sitcom on TV) are all far superior and funnier than the Simpsons.

I think family guy has really fallen off. Still like it but it use to be laughs the whole way through when it came back it is still funny but not close to the first seasons.

You can blame this on American Dad, ala Futurama/Simpsons.

Earl is good but has gotten to feel good and has really dropped off.

The Ricky Gervais episode of the simpsons was great and I will definatly get the last two seaons on DVD. I won't bother with a couple before that unless the price is good. It had definatly fallen off from it previous form and will never get back to that point(unless conan comes back) but it has definatly turned itself around.

At this point I wish family guy would have stayed cancelled. I use to have to stop watching the old ones just so I could take a moment to laugh but I don't even bother rewatching the new ones. Some of that may be because the first three seasons kicked so much ass but I watch it out of loyalty more then anything else now.

I will bump south park up there with the office and the simpsons as the funniest shows on TV though. I forgot to mention it.

The problem is that I could live with Simpsons falling off a bit because Futurama was excellent.

American Dad at its best moments sucks and so you get a funny show being hurt and nothing in return.

American Dad needs to die!

Dead spot-on there. ATHF is alright, Venture Brothers, Futurama, Family Guy, Birdman if they ever get new fucking episodes, Robot Chicken, & the Boondocks. I ain't seen much else worth watching. We're talking maybe one or two shows a night worth seeing, if that.

Adult Swim has really gone downhill since they cancelled Samurai Jack.

I saw it, too. Right after Robot Chicken.

It made me sad.

Saw that too. Zack, Slater, and Screech in socks and 80's colored socks, with the girls singing in the bathroom (or closet). Funny clip, but there's no way I'll watch the show.

I think it's just making a two week appearance, and I expect them to cancel it sooner than that.

Maybe they will do something like most extreme elimination challenge and dub other voices over the characters.
