One thing I particularly pay attention to is warp scrambling, as I'd rather have that low slot for something else.
Last night, I got The Guristas Spies. I've outfitted for them, so that's good. I check the warp-scramble column
. Nothing. Heck, not even any webbers.This should be cake.
So I warped in, and started getting some distance. Some of the frigs start attacking me, so I start attacking back, unleash the drones etc. The BSs go aggro, and their guns are doing OK damage. I've got my warp lined up, 50% shields left - no biggie. I use my shield boost, taking out the little ships one by one.
At about 33%, I decided to warp out so I can just come back and clean up. All the little frigates are gone except 1, so it'll just be BSs and cruisers to mop up. I right-click on my warp spot, hit warp.
Nothing happens.
Im getting warp jammed. WTF? I'm also getting heavily webbed. Double-WTF? My speed drops to about 50 m/s. I notice that one little Frigate is about 2km away from me. I put everything on it. I blow through its shields. Meanwhile, my shields are gone, and my cap is already gone. Fark.
Before I can blow it up, my armor's gone... my structure's gone.
I'm gone.
Guess you can never be too careful.
