The Longest Yard - Adam Sandler

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I wonder if it'll have the dark side the original had.

And MD can probably remember my favorite line from the Burt Reynolds original version...

I saw the heading and that of course was the first thing that popped into my mind

For the rest of you I had taken Gordo to the drive in at about 4 years of age thinking he would fall asleep during the "good parts" He payed rapt attention the entire movie until a particulary violent scene when he yelled out. "Look at that F**king S**t. Last movie I took him to for a while.

Finally watched this one Friday night.

Let me start off by saying, "It's not the original." That said, it's a funny movie, but not "must see" funny.

Lots of cameos from various people in the sports world.

It should be noted that it's not really a sports movie as you don't need to like football to get the jokes.

Worth a rental.

5.5 out of 10

I liked it.

Can't really compare it to the original, it's just way too different for that. Practically a different genre.
