Spring Break

Plus, I got addicted to Evil Genius. Damn fine game. Which I sent off to Netflix on accident, thus my return to Eve this past weekend.

Evil Genius? Is that the one that looked like Dungeon Keeper meets Blofeld?

I've been told it's reminecent of DK, but I never played that one.

You build an evil underground layer (complete with traps and whatnot to capture agents & UN inspectors that come to hassle you) and an army of minions, and go out to the world commiting evil acts. The more you do, the more opportunities you have to get cool stuff to build. Plus there's a whole research thing, where your science minions wonder around the base taking notes, then go back and figure out how to make new evil things by combining other evil things.

Base construction is actually a pretty intricate science. I'm on my third restart, because I keep learning hugely important things to know about proper base construction. Like using a two-tier security layout, with 0 Heat areas in the low security section, and all the high Heat areas behind a small labyrinth of blind alleys and traps. Or like building your Death Cells (prisioner holding cells that will automatically kill a captive for you) so that they dump the bodies right out directly into a freezer (thus saving all the problems of body disposal).

My favorite bit so far is my newest labyrinth between high and low sec. One of the blind alleys is really a little circular chamber with wind traps set up so that when an agent enters it blows them around and around and around in a circle until they die of exhaustion.

Best game ever.

Yes, and it played just like Dungeon Keeper from what I understand.
