Flight Plan

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Jodie Foster is an aircraft engineer whose husband dies and she must return with the body to the U.S. on a plane she designed. During the flight, the daughter she brought on board turns up missing, and when she begins searching finds out that nobody saw her nor is there any record of her ever boarding.

That's where I have to stop with the storyline because I don't want to give any spoilers in this review.

Jodie Foster does an average job in this film. Her acting is better than most, but this role isn't Clarice Starling.

Overall, the acting, direction, and writing are decent but nothing memorable.

There are some hokey moments in her confrontation with the pilot, Arab passengers, and the ending. There's also a stewardess whose characer you will end up wondering if it wasn't planned for a bigger part.

Not a horribly made film, but nothing you need to go out of your way to see.

6 out of 10.

On a sidenote, I really think the advertising for the film probably helped to drive business away from it. You will probably go in expecting something much different than what you get.
