This game is fun. My wife and I played today, and nobody got divorced.
The goal of the game is to defuse a bomb before it explodes. It's a two (or more) player game. One player is the bomb defuser. This person actually runs the game on their machine. Everyone else is a bomb assistant. They work off a PDF of the possible bomb defusing sequences, so they do not need the game installed.
The game starts simply enough. Bomb can have up to 6 pieces, and you must defuse all 6 pieces. To start with, bombs only have 3 pieces, and you have 5 minutes to solve them. My wife and I whipped through the first two pretty quickly. Then it got complicated. One of the bomb pieces required knowledge of steps you had taken earlier. Well, I wasn't expecting that, and had no idea what I had done earlier. You only get 3 strikes, and we used them all.
So we blew up, and tried again. We got a new bomb piece, that we had never seen before, and it took a while for my wife to find it in the PDF. Then we had issues communicating the nature of the puzzle to each other... running out of time, I tried my best, but we died.
So we geared up one more time, more prepped from experience, and knocked it out.
After 5 rounds, I was a bit exhausted, mentally. Having to effectively communicate the puzzles was a challenge, but a fun one. We'll try again later.
Overall, there are 2 modes: 1 is a serious of escalating challenges, and the other is free play (pick you own time limit, # of bomb pieces, etc).
