There was nothing quite like watching a triple digit score game go into OT.

I honestly don't think I've ever played it.

But I've got MAME... and an endless stack of virtual quarters on the home MAME arcade machine.
It's not me, it's someone else.

I loved Techmo Bowl.

I used to be the 49'ers, and run the QB all the way back to the endzone, for an endzone-to-endzone pass.

One of my all time great gaming moments was during high school, we had a Techmo tournament. I loved using Denver because Pittsburgh wasn't in the game and Denver had those big wins over Cleveland.

In the finals, on the last play of the game I stopped Bo Jackson at the goal line with Karl Mecklenberg(sp?) to win. It looked like the ball was half over the goal line, but it was ruled no touchdown.

Fun game.

Consider yourself lucky you stopped Bo. It always sucked when people choose him and Barry. They almost never had to engage the defenders just got knocked right off them.

While the SNES version was the best the NES version kicked ass too.

It kept offensive and defensive stats and had injuries and let you know when a team clinched the division and everything.

This and Baseball Stars are the greatest sports games ever.

It is so funny how vivid people can remember what most would consider insignificant.

I will never forget in 4th or 5th grade over the summer sinking a half court shot to beat rob holman in double dribble. He was such a prick.
