Bing vs. Google
Does Bing's ever change? Do they do special things for holidays or "days that will live in infamy"? I've never noticed.

Were it not blocked out by my Stalinized, Nazi-fied web filter, I'd be able to check. Yes, my job's web app BLOCKS bing.com due to its (& I quote) "adult content."

Bing has 14.7% of the search market and is proud to proclaim it is gaining on Google and has taken share from the search giant. CNN, however, points out that the gain Bing has made in the search market is in fact not coming from Google, but third place Yahoo. Since Bing launched, Google has lost market share slightly from 65% at Bing's debut to 64.8% today.

I use Bing daily to get my points towards free Amazon gift cards. However, that's all automated searches.
It's set as the default in my IE at home (Chrome and Firefox are set with Google), but honestly, anytime I search for something even remotely out of the mainstream I find that Google is much better.

This.
And my wife left FireFox over the Yahoo thing.

It's not me, it's someone else.

I just learned you can pretty easily change this... firefox now uses yahoo as its DEFAULT search shit, but that can be changed in options under the hourglass. Gives you back control of the little search window in the toolbar.TheCatt wrote:It's not just defaults. It's like... embedded.Malcolm wrote:Defaults?
