SoV - Soldiers of Vanquishing
War Status: TKV Victory
Current Score: Unknown, but we won (as of 10/28/2001)

We've been contemplating expanding our horizons within UO. Wanted to get our name out there and see what happened.  We have some things planned for the future as well. So, we started listening to message boards, checking things out, and came up with a few guilds that are suppose to be the best in PvP. We invaded their message board and find many people who are sure they will beat us up, SoV being one of them. They speak of their glory days when they owned PvP on GL, etc, etc, etc. The others on the board while saying THEY owned PvP on GL, didn't really dispute SoV's abilities. So, we figured that among this group, SoV would be a good start. Combine that with the fact that SoV was the only guild that actually declared on us, we are now introducing ourselves to the 'best' PvP guilds on GL. Does this further our cause of grieving griefers? Not really. But, we can't really do much with the griefers any more. There aren't any in Felucca, and, we don't play in Trammel and the griefers there are quite happy griefing where no one can do anything about it. They certainly aren't going to open themselves up to us by going to war with us. . . . So anyway, we are warring SoV for not much other than. . . . to start going up against the 'best' PvP guilds on the shard. And by the way, we use the term 'best' loosely. They claim to be the best, and they have enough people convinced that they are, that we'll play along. . .

10/26/2001 - In the first night of fighting, we scored 5 kills, and they scored 3. I'm wondering what they are thinking so far. . . . they sure haven't had much to say on their message board. . . . But read about the events here.

We accepted SoV's declaration and Gordon and I started hunting. Moonglow was a logical spot to start and low and behold, we find one! We engage and it's off to the races. He was fast and we couldn't keep up to get the job done. Especially with South side Steve tailing and blue healing the gent. We dump and the SoV member starts his comboing. Well, no sense in sticking around for his when he runs from ours! So, we evade. SsS thinks it smart to call what is going a a 2 on 1 (2 on 1? Why don't people ever count the blue healers? It's not like they aren't part of the fight. . . .) and comments on our evading. Oh well. We medi up and start the chase again. Uh oh, he called in for back up! Orange SoV come pouring out of a gate. I counted 4 more when I went back into evade mode. The chase leads us all out of town and I see an opportunity. I attack Kera Allure and Gordon shows up with at least one SoV as she's going down.

Not sure if that other SoV is trying to save her, or himself. Unfortunately, due to the other SoV in the area, we didn't get to loot. The fighting continued and we picked another target and went to work. Mutzky tried to evade, and I think the other SoV was trying to heal again, but, alas, Mutzky was felled (or something)

Uh oh, look out other SoV healer guy. . . looks like something is coming your way. :-) That SoV got away. . .

The action in Glow subsided and we found ourselves in Serpent's Hold. We found some SoV, picked a target, and went to work. Mephisto was his name, and well. . . .

Mutzky was close by, as were a few other SoV. I did some light evading and then got greedy. Didn't want to have another kill go unlooted! I went for the goods. I got a couple of things when I was hammered hard. I went into evade overdrive and was heading into the heart of town. I was cut off along the path and a spear para ended it for me. And the funny thing was, Magus has some history with TKV. Appears to be ex-TDE. He was so excited to see an Alex corpse that he started taking credit for the kill. Jane, Dru, you were there, I guess you guys didn't do anything.

Jane: Corp Por - Energy Bolt
Alex the Artist: Jane is attacking you!
Dru Oriox: [I HUFF PAINT, S0V] (Order)
You see: Dru Oriox
Dru Oriox: Vas Ort Flam - Explosion
Jane: [SoV, S0V] (Order)
Dru Oriox: Corp Por - Energy Bolt
Jane: Corp Por - Energy Bolt
You feel yourself resisting magical energy!
Alex the Artist: Dru Oriox is attacking you!
You are dead.
MAUAHAH
OWNED
Magus: NEWBIE
Magus: you guys
Magus: blow cock
Magus: withgout deamons
Magus: loot it all
Magus: just to be an ashhole
Magus: :o)

Jane: give ark loot
Magus: Guys
Magus: take pics
Magus: of this
Dru Oriox: howd he die
Magus: i rocked him
Magus: with my trioba
Magus: tribal
Magus: :o)

How did he die? I rocked him with my tribal. Yep, the multiple expl/eb's didn't do it. It was magus and his 'trioba'.

Anyway, I'm down and Gordon is evading. He sees a chance to get one of them, and takes it. The rest of the SoV team is quick to respond. Gordon makes a couple wrong turns and he goes down. Bummer. But, not ones to give up (especially when we are ahead!!) we re-equip and continue the hunt.

We eventually make it to the Yew moongate and find some SoV there. We find Mutzky and start playing with him. He had two blue healers and we had our work cut out for us. Some quick thinking and some poor healing later. . .

God of Thunder had joined the hunt at this point and was scouting the gate to see if more SoV came. They sure did. Mutzky must have sent the word and his buddies were responding!! They open a gate to the Yew gate area and OOPS!!! The pile out of the gate right into an unexpected but welcome, FS! war party! GoT let us know afterward that SoV scrambled east. We head out and see the ground littered with a few SoV bodies. We chuckle. . . We move on from there knowing SoV won't be back there for a little while. However, a little while later, we do end up back at the Yew Gate. We see a dead Mutzky and GoT and I hide at the gate waiting for more SoV. And yes, more came. In force even. I see the mass of orange and go into evade mode. GoT wasn't so lucky. He went down. At least it was quick and humane. . . .

The fighting is winding down somewhat and we check Minoc. I run into a couple of them inside the bank and invite myself in. I start hitting the first one to come out and Gordon followed my lead. A few spells later and. . . .

Didn't catch the name of the retreating SoV. . . . Knowing there's probably more SoV in the area, we decide to hide. Sure enough, 5 SoV are in the area. They huddle around TDM's body and start chatting. I'm too far to see the whole conversation, but, some of them are calling it a night. Unforgiven wants me dead. :-) I continue to listen. A couple left for the evening and the last 3 decide to hit Glow again. Gordon and I recall to intercept. As I run into town, I see that FS! has got things pretty much under control. But, I do spot a retreating Unforgiven. I drop my expl on him and his mini health bar refreshes. I see he's at about 7% and I wait. Boom.

Obviously not my kill, but, I couldn't help but think of his earlier comment. :-) After looting, he comes back to his corpse. I precast poison and wait things out. He hops on his mount and says "nice". Expecting "newb gank lol 10 v 1!!!", I got "nice". I can respect that. I cancel my spell and move on. Magus won't have that option. . . . .

So, our first night of war with SoV wasn't too bad. We scored 5 kills, and they scored 3. Granted, FS! tied them up a couple times. But, not too bad for a few unknown Trammel newbs if you ask me. . . . And don't worry, we didn't count any FS! kills as our own. . . .

In closing. . . .

We know Meph. . . . No one does. . . . No one does. . . .

10/27/2001 - Another night TKV did better than SoV. We had 4 TKV kills, and one where an FS! guy helped us. We participated in 2 FS! kills as well. So, we'll call that 4.5 kills for TKV, and 1 kill for SoV.

Tonight the hunting party consisted of Gordon and Alex. And to be honest, the details of the whole night are VERY fuzzy right now due to the time. But, I'll do the best I can!

Gordon spotted a massive fight going on at the SoV guild house with FS!. He dove in. Helped in the offing of two of them. When I showed up, I jumped on Jane (In a fighting sense) and Gordon followed. An FS! fighter started banging her around as well.

That's our .5 for the night.

We were doing some scouting here and there, but they were out in force tonight. At one point, we counted 10 SoV. Wasn't much the two of us could do against that mess. So, we planed. . . . At one point, we were staking out the SoV house, waiting to see what turn up. Magus showed up and saw Gordon. They engage each other and Alex jumps in. Oops. Magus dies.

If memory serves, there was someone else there as well. Cause first, he needed some ash. He must have gotten it, because he came charging out. And get this. . . . when he gets back to his house, and his friend, he explains to his friend that "There's 3 or 4 of them out there"!!! It might have FELT like 3 or 4. But it was just little old us. You know, those people you use to own all the time. . . . mmhmmm. Anyway. . . Some other stuff transpires and we find ourselves at the SoV house again. This time, it's Magus, Kera, and Merlin. They come busting out and we let loose on Merlin. He goes down. I grab his stuff. :-) Unfortunately, we were unable to get the picture of this one. But ask Merlin, he should remember it. Kera and Magus regroup and make another charge. This time, they get Gordon. I do some looting, but can't get much. There's two of them hammering me everytime I get close. Magus takes chase and off we go. Ran for a LOOOOOONNNNNG time. I'd stop here and there and we'd fight. But, I could never get the mana, and tonight, I just couldn't stay close enough to finish the job. Had him within one ebolt a couple times, but, just couldn't get it. Eventually, he broke off the attack. I never dropped below 40%.

This one time, at Moonglow, Gordon was scouting and ended up with Smelly Poo, and one other on him. They chase for a while, and Gordon and I are able to meet up.

That's why I could remember his name, but not the other one's. He got away. . . .

And at another time, we had Magus, and Tony Saprano at their house. They make a dash at us and . . . .

Magus made it back into the house.

And that was about it. There were a lot of other scuffles here and there, but no one died and I just don't remember the details enough to talk about them. Verrryyyy sllleeepy. So, forgive if things are a little out of order.

So, the totals again for tonight are 4.5 kills scored by TKV, and 1 kill scored by SoV.

10/28/2001 - TKV added a few more kills to the list and SoV went to bed with none. Gordon and Alex strike again!!

Gordon and I start the night out scouting for SoV. We find some at their house, but, there were a lot of them. So we plan .. . . (we do that a lot). As we mount a strike to stir things up, FS! rolls in. Grrrrr. Oh well, we make the best of it and attack. I hammer Merlin hard and since no one is healing him, he runs off. I follow only to find that he ran into some FS! at his door and they knocked him down. Grrrrr. First kill stolen. I loot. Gordon was doing the same. We didn't catch the name, but as Gordon is about to put the finishing touches on, slap, an FS! does the last bit of damage. *sigh* Kill steal number two. This is when FS! starts trying to claim we are stealing kills. Ummmm. We were here first and with these two corpses, we did the damage. We didn't need you getting in the way. So, even though we earned two kills, we'll not count them so there are no claims that 'it was FS! that killed me!!'.

Eventually, FS! clears out and we are at the SoV house with Baltar (Mr. "TKV Has no skills, we all know this, and if you dont, try fighting em. even in a 2 on 1, im sure youll do just fine hehe, We TDE used to make jokes bout TKV, like id lose conn, and log back on with like 3 corpses of you guys around me hehehe") and PK in their house.

They wouldn't come out and play. Eventually, Baltar and Kera are inside. There was a 3rd for a moment, but he left. We are inviting them outside, but, they explain that "they aren't equipped" etc. Ho hum. Waiting around. Figuring they are just waiting for back up. . . . Eventually, Baltar leaves for Magus, and he and Kera make a dash out of the house. Finally!!! We start with Magus who lead the charge. Kera is healing him. I target Kera and score.

As I'm looting, Orgy comes in and starts attacking. Ahhhh. There's the back up they were waiting for. . . but alas, a little too late for poor Kera. By this time, Magus is safely inside his house and Gordon hits Orgy. Orgy runs off. I finish looting and run to find Orgy while Gordon keeps Magus inside. (just by standing outside the door) I find Orgy and start casting on him. He bolts for the server line and heals. I cross and para. Hmmm. He has no pouches. I medi a bit and start a expl/para combo. Gotta keep him on my side of the line. . . . About this time Gordon shows up. We both start casting and Orgy keeps himself alive long enough to make it to the server line again. Ahhh well. Next time. We head back up to their house and there's Magus and Orgy inside. They babble a bit about meeting them someplace and fighting cause we like the server lines. Ummmm, huh? I can't help but wonder why right where we were wasn't good enough if THEY don't cross the lines!! Magus explains that he's not using them. *sigh* Ok, but baby huey (orgy) was. We hang out a bit longer and Magus and Orgy come out again. A fight ensues and Orgy takes one for the team.

Magus, as he has done in every fight so far, is high tailing it out of the area. We chase him into bucs den where he proceeds to cross the server lines not once, not twice, not THREE times, but FOUR times. Yes, across the bridge, back down toward the water, back up to the road, across the second bridge toward the moongate. *Whew* He's safe. He pauses at the gate to mumble something about meeting him and orgy somewhere again.

I start casting just so he'd leave. He did. I head back to their house and meet up with Orgy near the bucs teleporter. I para him. No pouches again. I start another expl/para combo as the teleporter is right there. He says "And now we wait for Gordon. . . ." My expl goes off and he manages to make it through the teleporter. I chase. Cast para and run after him. Cause, he IS running away from me. I para him on the bridge. ALMOST made it to the server!! Better luck next time. I start a combo and Gordon runs up. Hmmmm. Good timing. We both run combos and he dies on the bridge.

Ya, Gordon ended up showing up. But, it's not my fault you ran to him. Shoulda stayed outside bucs where it was just a one on one. Oh well. We head back to their house and it's just Magus now. Bragging about how we can't kill him. Ummmm. You're inside a house. He acknowledges that the house is why he's alive. Now, this is the Magus/Baltar that is posting alllllll kinds of stuff about how TKV sucks. Fight them 1 on as many as you want. They 'Suck balls without deamons'. Etc, etc, etc. And now, he's inside his house. Not bragging about how he can kill us, but how he can 'not die'. Funning how things are starting to change. . . . He begs us to war him on some other stone so he can 'own us'. Yet, now that he's SoV and at war with us, he won't fight us. Hmmmmm.

And, I have to say. I do feel sorry for the rest of his team. He's Mr. "They never cross heal!!". And I have to commend Kera for her cross healing. She saved Magus on more than one occasion. Unfortunately, it cost her her life. Cause, Magus don't return the favor. He was busy heading back to the house. If you look at the two kill shots near their house. In both, Magus is either in the house, or running away from the fight. How can you cross heal while doing that? Hmmm. Appears you don't. SoV. . . You have a valuable member there. A real asset to the team. I hope you keep him for the duration of the war. . . . Claims all credit for kills, doesn't cross heal, runs at the site of TKV. Ya, he's a keeper.
