Well we can kinda agree, then. I say either neither, or both.

First, I think everyone everywhere can go fuck themselves. I'm very into equality.

Second, you're comparing earned/actual money with agreed upon debt. Those two things are not the same.

But for each there were rules in place. And they weren't secret. But for the bank people, the rules don't seem to apply. Why apply rules selectively?

Back to my original point, I said another business bailout was not going to be a good look on the eve of the denial of a regular-prrson-bailout. Are you disagreeing that it won't be taken well by the democratic voting base? They'll just say c'est la vie, it's just how business goes! ?

I'm disagreeing, this is the exact thing that the government should have done.

You just described the mob. The same people who think health insurance is insurance, and 18 year old adults shouldn't be allowed to enter into contracts but should be allowed to vote.

That's certainly Barney Frank's take. But he's 82 years old, and not exactly unbiased in this conversation, as a director of said bank.

His take does have some merit though. I cannot imagine any governments are huge fans of crypto.

I know mortgage rates are falling thanks to this bank crisis, so that's nice for those of us who eventually want to own a home again.
