I know. I'd never take sports smack talk personally or I would have murdered Catt years ago.

My team does not have my back this year, or most years under Tomlin.

I am very used to losing first round playoff games, so I have no expectation this year for a team I didn't even think would win another game after going 11-0. In fact, I think I'm going to bet the Browns and the points.

I will be rooting for the WFTers because of all their Buckeyes and fuck Brady.

Chargers fire Lynn. That was expected. Yeah, they went 12-4 two years ago, but they got better at QB and have had two losing seasons.

Newton is delusional. He must not have watched film of himself playing because he sucks.

I think Urban would be wise to not take the Jaguars job without major changes in that organization. Hell, I don't think he should take the job at all as all it can do is tarnish his legacy. The mentality that makes one a great college coach seems to be different from being a great NFL coach. Stranger's clone, Bill Cowher did it right. He retired as a coach, went to be a TV analyst, and never looked back.

It'd help if his GM could draft WRs. But yeah... Hard to see him starting anywhere at the moment.

John Wolford's story. I do love these kinds of stories. Helps that he played at Wake Forest (I grew up a WF fan, living in that city).
For now, though, Wolford’s LinkedIn profile lists him as a “Professional Athlete” and “Quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams.”

Washington: I like their coach, and they have some bright spots with Buckeyes on that roster. Weak division too.. 7-9
Panthers: Tough call. Don't know what to think of the coach and i'm so so on Teddy B. And now a pretty tough division.. 6-10
Browns: Very solid offseason additions. Offensive scheme that will now have an identity. 4th easiest schedule.. 11-5
Steelers: BLOW! 7-9

Leisher:
Washington: 5-11 I think it's going to take a second for Rivera to get the ball rolling. If he gets Haskins to play like he did at OSU, these numbers could flip flop.
Panthers: 8-8 New coach, tougher schedule. Best case scenario is that O coordinator from LSU turns Teddy B into Lamar Jackson.
Browns: 10-6 The Browns should be playoff bound. However, new coach and still a smaller than average (outside of belly fat) question mark at QB. Best case is a bye week. Worst case is 3rd place in the AFC North and a continuing question mark at QB.
Steelers:
If BB is healthy, Conner stays healthy, and this new WR steps up immediately: 11-5 and eliminated in the first playoff game, which is the Tomlin standard. This is honestly the worst case scenario. BB seemed pretty done in the first game last year. There's no heir apparent. We'll get a late draft pick. Tomlin will still get credit for a good season.
However, when I first saw the schedule, I had the Steelers finishing third. 7-9 or 8-8 sound right. ANY injuries will get them there. They're not a deep team. I think not drafting Dobbins will bite them in the ass this year. Connor has a history of injuries and Snead is a less than capable backup.

So... yesterday already happened cuz I forgot to do this, but I'll do my best to be pre-yesterday
Redskins: 4-12 - Too many new parts, and an O that needs weapons.
Panthers: 5-11 - Also rebuilding
Browns: 9-7
Steelers: 9-7

I'd give the edge to the Steelers over the Browns, but who knows.

!RmindMe 1/4/2021
Preseason predictions:
Stranger nailed the WTFers + Browns, 1 game off on the Panthers. Blew it on the Steelers though :) Off by 6 games total
Leisher - Nailed the Steelers at 11-5, close on the Browns, whiffed on the others. Off by 6 games total.
Catt - Nailed the Panthers, whiffed the rest. Off by 8 games total.

So... Stranger could go work for ESPN if he got over his Steelers bias.

Schedule predictions (May):
Catt -1 WTF, -3 Steelers, -2 Browns, and +1 Panthers; Off by 7 games total.

This is awesome to look back on. But my favorite part is easily this little line:

I was thinking about Urban and the Jags job...

Is it possible there's no announcement until the 12th for obvious reasons?

I need you to be more explicit. I know what the 12th is, I think, the day after CFP, but why would that impact this?

Urban is tied closely to OSU, and would probably take some coaches with him. He would never want to be a distraction.

It's only Tuesday. I expect we'll see Steelers testing positive too as they just played.

However, unless every player gets it, I can't see the NFL delaying.

P.S. Don't underestimate Tomlin's ability to still blow this game!

There's no way the NFL cancels.. They only get on their knees for golden boy Lamar Jackson.

No way the Browns win now. Stefanski is not only the head coach but also our playcaller and is arguably the most valuable person in that organization.

If Tomlin were to lose to a lifetime special teams coach acting as head coach then i might actually start listening to your Tomlin hate talk but that's just not going to happen.

Browns current offensive coaches with Covid. HC/playcaller, OL coach, OL assistant coach, WR coach, TE coach..

They only had one real practice day last week because of this and good luck getting any practice in this week. They literally have like 3 offensive coaches left. And you'd be naive to think there isn't more coming, its only tuesday.

How could they even put together an offensive gameplan?? No way Tomlin loses to this.

So... can't you just stick coaches in isolated booths and use radios? Seems dumb to keep them out of the game.
