To be fair, they had no WRs this week, right? That's a huge hit. Poor Browns.

No one in the NFC East has been eliminated yet. WTFers can clinch with a win, though.

Yeah, top4 WR out and two starting lineman, none of whom tested positive.

Tough pill to swallow there but it seems fitting the Browns need to beat the Steelers to earn the right to get into the playoffs.

They did not.

NFC East winner will be guaranteed to have a losing record.

Good luck to you, genuinely. No idea if the Steelers rediscovered themselves after halftime, but I'm guessing the playbook was tossed. I think their seed can't be lower than 3 either, so they might not have anything to play for...besides needing the practice.

WTFers in with a win. If they lose, the winner of Giants-Cowboys is in. Either way, with the Eagles out, no repeat division champion since 2004 streak stays alive.

They lost to the Bills, right? So either 2 or 3 seed depending on if they win/Bills win. An no idea who they would play with all those 10-5 teams.

Steelers have tie breakers over the AFC South, so they can't drop farther than 3. If Buffalo stumbles tonight, then the 2 seed is in play. If Buffalo wins, then I think the Steelers have nothing to play for next week.

WFT releases Haskins.

Haskins is pretty immature and needs to mature to find success, but Rivera comes off looking pretty poorly here as well. He never gave Haskins a chance.

Disagree. I think he came in hating Haskins out of the gate. Not saying the disrespect wasn't warranted as clearly Haskins let shit go to his head. However, IF Haskins grows up and goes on to shine, that's on Rivera not being able to manage him. OSU's coaches handled Haskins. WFT's staff would have reached out to them to get the skinny, so they would have known what they were getting.

Unless WFT's staff didn't do that, which again, would be on them.

Dallas knew what they were getting with Dez Bryant and immediately assigned handlers to him to keep him out of trouble.

Now let's take odds on where he lands.

If Urb takes the Jacksonville job, Haskins will go there.

Honestly, I think the Steelers are a strong candidate to pick him up. Their backups suck, BB is old, Tomlin loves black players, and the Steelers have always loved OSU players. They have a great situation where Haskins could sit and learn from BB next year before taking over. Additionally perfect because BB can talk to Haskins about going through the same maturity issues.

The problem would be Tomlin's shitty coaching. :D

Maybe it's easier in college surrounded by a bunch of other talent, and he prepared just enough to keep winning.

I'll take that bet. No way in hell does a player taken in the 1st round two years ago not end up on a team. Teams are going to see him, hope this is his wake up call, and then give him a shot.

Not for $4.5M. But maybe he's willing to forego the money.

Isn't the money null and void once the WFT released him? I believe so.

I know WFT still has to pay for him, but releasing him means anyone else can sign him without compensating WFT or honoring his previous deal.

Not if claimed off waivers.

I don't know what happens if he is unsigned into next season.

fter he was drafted, the organization preached patience. Multiple people with the team said Haskins needed to sit all season as he learned more about not only Washington's offense but also how to play quarterback at the NFL level. They stressed that he needed to learn how to call plays in the huddle and read defenses at a faster pace, among other things.

By the end of the 2019 season, with Washington headed to a 3-13 finish, Haskins had become the starter. He showed improvement, though multiple coaches said they were concerned with how hard it was for them to get him to prepare the way they wanted.

But when Rivera was hired, he told Snyder they had a plan to help Haskins. Rivera later said former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, who coached Haskins in college, said they needed to challenge him. Rivera did so by talking about Haskins' talent but also stressing the desire for him to become a stronger leader. Washington liked how Haskins handled himself in the offseason enough for him to become a captain.
Sounds like they talked to the OSU coaches multiple times.

Nobody will sign him at this point in the season.
